President's Day 2017 - The Denver Zoo

The Brown family really loves to go to the Denver Zoo, but we haven't been as a family in a really long time. So, we were very excited to drive down this morning and join Ryan and Jennica (with Ben and Addy) for a day at the zoo. The weather was PERFECT - 65F in February is something to really enjoy and take advantage of by being outside.

The polar bears were definitely the highlight of the day! They were playing and rolling around in the water - it was hard to pull ourselves away from watching them - but we needed to find a good spot for the elephant show!





As always, the elephant show is a highlight of any zoo visit!


Jarrett loved his little "Paw Patrol" hat and wore it with pride all day long!































The drive home, with an exhausted Jarrett - an awesome day together as a family!

When we arrived home, we split up with Amy taking the kids to the Dentist while I walked a quick 9 holes of golf. I shot a 38 on 9 holes, which is really good for me. I'm liking my new Calaway "EPIC" driver.

At 5:30, we met up at the house, then split up again. I took Jantzen and Jarrett to Pizza Hut, and then to Jantzen's basketball practice, which was really fun. Jantzen is getting better each week, but I'm still not very impressed with his coach - he doesn't seem to spread around the opportunities for the kids to grow and try new things. But, that's what I get for not being able to coach myself.....
