Redwood Vacation 2017 - Day 8

Not really a "vacation" day, as this was the "travel-home" day.  And it really was a full day of travel.  We left our fun home in the Redwoods at 6:15am and started our drive south to San Francisco.  That drive is about 350 miles, but around 300 miles are on curvy roads that are sometimes 2 lane roads.  It was a painful drive, but we made it to the rental car return at 12:45 - 6.5 hours after leaving.  Returning the car, checking bags and getting through security were actually quite easy.  We had time for lunch and then boarded our plane, leaving on time at 3:45pm. We arrived in Denver around 7pm and after getting our bags and the van, getting dinner at Chick-fil-a and then driving home, we finally made it home at 9:30, which as 14.25 hours after we left - a very long travel day for a young family of 7!
