1st Day of School

Wow - we knew that this summer was going to be short, but it really went by fast.  The kids are already back in school and its sad to see another summer go in the history books.  However, I'm very glad to get back into a regular routine with the family that will allow me to develop better habits of scripture study, prayer, exercise and catching up in this journal.  The plan will be to exercise at 5am at the Harmony gym, then read, pray and write in my journal while Ashtyn is at seminary in the morning.  That plan won't start until Monday, but I've tried to make sure I'm exercising and reading in my scriptures this week and I'm feeling much better.  

As for school, Jantzen and Aubrey started school at Rangeview this year.  Jantzen is in the 5th grade and Aubrey is in the 2nd grade.  Jantzen was bummed that his best friend Jacob was not in his class, but they found each other on the playground on the first day and they've enjoyed playing together during all lunches and recess.

Alyssa started 7th grade at Severance Middle School and she's very happy about that as well.  Her best friend Maliyah is in every class with her, which is very cool. 

I had to take Alyssa's photo as we drove away.  She didn't even want me to take it.  Her school starts 10min earlier this year, at 7:40, which as made getting to school much more challenging and it also leave Jantzen and Aubrey getting to school very early!

Ashtyn started high school as a freshman this year.  She's attending Windsor High School and is really enjoying it so far.  She wasn't happy about taking a photo, but there's not too many people around at 7am when I drop her off after Seminary, so she finally agreed:
