Here's what we started off doing --> SOCCER!! Jantzen's team barely lost, but he only got to play defense for one quarter and then goalie for another quarter. Normally you get to play 3 quarters when you're goalie, but that's okay. He still enjoyed having grandpa and grandma watching and cheering for him. Aubrey's team won and she did a great job passing and playing defense. She just keeps getting better every season.
We also let Aubrey open some presents in the morning before soccer. I purchased a few more presents to make sure that everyone had something fun to play with - it worked out really well!
After soccer, I came home and quickly showered and changed. I had to run to the Trilby building to speak at the Ford's baptism from the Easton ward. It was so great to see Ike King baptize his granddaughter. The King's are doing really well and they are progressing towards the temple. I got to speak about Baptismal coventants and it was such a great experience to be there.
As we finished up the Ford's baptism, we ran straight into the chapel and did Aubrey's baptism. She was baptized with Adalyn and Paislee and we really love both families. I think she really felt the spirit of the day and it was truly a special moment to be able to perform the ordinance for her. I choked up a bit during the confirmation, which went really well.
After the baptism, we had everyone over for a yummy dinner - pulled pork BBQ. We played some games, enjoyed brownies and just sat back and enjoyed the evening. I was a little tired, but it was a nice evening.
