Scheel's and PF Chang's

Amy and I woke up early today and attended the Fort Collins temple.  It was a much needed break from the world and we both really enjoyed the experience together.  Amy miscarried this week and it took a deeper toll on her than I ever imagined.  I think both of us were excited at the prospect of having a sixth child, but with the loss of this baby, we're not sure if we should be "done" or if we should increase our efforts to get pregnant again so that we can have another baby.  We took those questions to the temple on Sunday and it was a very good session.  We felt the spirit and received answers to some questions, but we are still praying and pondering about the decision to have more kids.  We will try to go to the temple again soon to see if we can get a more clear picture of the direction we should take.

After the temple, Amy and I ordered the doors for our back porches and we're very excited to get them installed and updated.  The stucco on the house was all repaired and they did a great job re-painting the house.  I think Amy and I would both choose a darker Brown if we could do it again, but we're still very happy with the results.

We had a quick lunch at home with everyone, then we split up to run errands.  I took the boys to get haircuts, then we went to Scheel's and had a great time roaming the store and enjoying the wonder of this incredible sports store.  We even paid $50 to the Weld Food Bank and that earned us a couple of rides on the ferris wheel, which was Jarrett's favorite part of the day.  We let each of the kids pick out a toy, we let them bowl 5 frames and we let them enjoy some cotton candy.  It literally felt like we were at the fair.....

This was Scott James from Big 97.9 radio station. He's also the Mayor of Johnstown.  He rode the Ferris Wheel for 50 hours straight, setting a new world record.  He even did his radio show from the Ferris Wheel - I was VERY impressed!

Jarrett actually had 3 spares in 5 frames and he did it all himself - he had the best score of everyone!

The kids had 3 flavors - Root Beer, Peppermint and Lemon-Lime - they were all very good!

After Scheel's, we met Amy, Ashtyn and Alyssa at PF Chang's and had an awesome meal on their patio.  The weather was beautiful on Saturday and it felt really good to be outside and enjoy an awesome meal.  The kids were showing off their new Scheel's sunglasses.  Below, Aubrey and Celina decided that they really liked being "twinners", so they wanted their photo taken to prove it - it was a magical Saturday for sure!
