Bangalore Trip 2017

I'm sitting at MoMo's cafe having breakfast in the Courtyard Marriott hotel here in Bangalore.  My trip here is VERY short, with only 48 hours on the ground - I'm actually spending more time traveling on this trip than actually meeting with the team. However, I have some big meetings today as I will be standing in front of the entire Bangalore team today present Methodologies, then I will do the same via VC for the Shanghai team.  The afternoon shouldn't be too bad, then my flight home will be at 3:30am --> I hope I can make it until then.  I woke up at about 3:30am this morning, so I need to stay up for 24 hours straight before I catch my flight.  I may just have to take a nap before taking the cab to the airport tonight.

This has been a good week so far - meetings have gone well and I really enjoy the people of India.  These people are very humble and hard working engineers and its a pleasure to be with them. Its actually been very motivating to spend time with them - and I needed some motivation as I've been running a little low on steam in recent weeks.

The youth will be taking gift baskets to members of the ward tonight, which is such a fun activity.  I'm very proud of our youth and of our ward - we've received around $4500 worth of donations to give out to members of our ward - a fantastic example of loving your neighbor!

Here are a few photos from the trip so far:

This was a "gingerbread train" in the lobby of the hotel. I've been surprised at the level of Christmas celebrations here in India.  But I've learned that nearly 30% of the country is Christian, so you would expect some level of recognition, which is good!

Here's a photo of the team last night at dinner - enjoyed eating with all of the DI managers from Bangalore - a great group of engineers!
