Park City Holt Family Reunion - Day 1

The family has been eagerly awaiting the first Holt family reunion in many years. The Japan Holts haven't been to the US in around 5 years, so everyone is very excited to see them. The first day, we drove straight from Colorado to Utah and met Jason, Jeremy and Steve along with the boy cousins to do some fun camping. We were hoping to camp up in the Uintah's, but there were no campsites avaialble. So, we ended up camping in the Echo reservoir. It was still a ton of fun!

Look at the Honda's pack with gear. It was the first time we had used our Thule and it worked out really well. We will likley be using it again in the future!

When we first arrived, we had on okay camp-spot, but after we had put up our tents, a nice lady from an ajacent spot told us to come take theirs since they were leaving. Very glad that we did. We had nice shade and a much better place overall to sleep. Jeremy had an AWESOME tent for his family and Jantzen and I bunked with Steve and his kids.

As you can see from above, the boys really had fun. They got super dirty and filthy and it was just a great time for them. The adults had fun as well.

One "adventure" was taking out the Canoes on friday. The wind was pretty heavy and the water was choppy. Steve and I jumped in and we ended up flipping the canoe before we even started. Unfortunately, my phone was in my pocket and it suffered a casuality! It ended up drying completely out after just 10 days!

Day 1 was awesome!
