Another Trip to China

I'm hoping this is my last trip to China for a while! I've been way more times than I wanted to, but the project is converging and we didn't even need a face-2-face with ZTE for this trip. Instead - I just had tons of meetings with the Shanghai team to walk through the details and make sure we're making progress.

Now that we are close to having this program under our belt - I'm happy with the China team - they execute well and work very hard. We will have challenges with them moving forward - but we will work them out and get stronger!

On the first night, we took the managers out to dinner. This was Greg's first trip as the new VP over China. He was literally in meetings for the entire day, but I'm hoping that he set good expectations with the team.
This was a fun little playground in the mall where we had dinner - my kids would have loved this!
On Wednesday night, Greg and I went shopping in the "cheap stuff" area by the Science Museum. Unfortunately, most of the shops had closed, but we found a few that were open and we bought a few things. I had to take the following two photos as this is how the "stock" these stores. The extra inventory is up that little hole. Very interesting....
Obviously, I had to snap this photo....
One thing that I can't forget - this was one of the hardest trips that I've taken to China. I got really sick, had a fever both days we were there and then had diarrhea the last day and night. So, on the last morning, I ventured out to find the pharmacy below. With Amy's help on FaceTime, we found some medicine that helped some. I didn't completely feel better until I got home and had some pepto-bismal. I will be sure to bring some of that in the future! Luckily - I had DayQuil, which helped fight the fevers!
A photo I snapped for Alyssa - she would love this little shop - devoted completely to Panda's!
