I've been traveling nearly every week this new year - I'm getting sick of it and I'm looking forward to a break! I really need one!
This trip - I had a free evening after my big meeting with Enso (where I nearly lost my temper, but held it together). So - I came prepared with my temple clothing and made a trip up to Oakland to visit the temple. What a treat!
I have to write about my experience in the temple, though. I was very touched by the presentation in the endowment this time - and cried several times - not something I was expecting. I then received some special revelation about my calling as a Bishop. It came very clear to me that I need to kneel in prayer with anyone that enters my office in the spirit of confession and repentance. We need to pray together for repentance and be joined in prayer. I've already done this with a couple of folks and it's amazing how much more spiritual our meetings can be. I still have more to learn - but what an awesome adventure!
