Today - we started the day with a pancake breakfast at the church. Initially, I was a little worried about how many folks would actually come, but we ended up having an awesome turn-out with folks coming from both the Severance Ward and the Bison Ridge Ward. We flipped pancakes for a solid hour and we weren't able to keep up with demand for a while. As always, we had a great little bike parade for the kids. I was very surprised to see how fast Jarrett was going on his balance bike - he was FLYING!!
After the pancake breakfast, we met the Murray's at the Harmony pool and spent about 2 hours swimming. At noon, I met up with Mike Burns and Shawn Murray and played 9 holes of golf. I played really well - shooting a 38 on 9 holes. I did have a couple of holes where I hit 2 balls off the tee --> that's my weakness --> off the tee!
After golf, I helped Amy at home, built some more shelves in the garage and got the house ready for guests for dinner. We had Adam & Mary (5), the Murray's (6), the Fowlers (4), the Sister Missionaries (2), the Beals (6) and our neighbors, the Peter's (5) over. It was a really neat experience and it was good to get to know them better. Including our 7, we had 35 people at the house for July 4th. It was actually really fun and we had a blast. Shawn brought some awesome smoked ribs over as well!
