At the beginning of December, as we planned out the month, Amy and I decided the best day to go to the temple would be 12/26, the day after Christmas. We remembered that plan at about 11:30pm on Christmas Day. We had watched a movie together as a family thinking we could sleep in. Well - we decided to stick to our plan and we went to the temple. Wow - it was a challenge. It has snowed about a foot over night - yes - we had a white Christmas, but the now began to fall after dark on Christmas Day. We were also VERY tired, but we made it on time and had a great session.
Unfortunately, as we drove away from the temple, we realized we had a flat tire. We filled it at the closest gas station, then we drove as far as we could, about 20 miles.
Queue "tender mercy"! As our tire continued to lose air, I called Enterprise (it was a rental car) and asked about options. They told us to use a Firestone store. We pulled one up and I started to drive there. Amy called ahead and they said the wait would be ~2 hours. Wow! So, we decided to take the next exit to plan out what to do. As we pulled off, there was a "Big O Tire" right there. They had no wait and they fixed it for free (they will charge Enterprise directly). We were back on the road in 45min. So awesome and immediate confirmation that the Lord was watching out for us and that we did the right thing. Immediate blessings!
