Stake Conference Weekend

Although Stake Conference consumes much more of the Saturday than I like, the Sunday makes it worth the sacrifice.  We had a great Stake Conference and I've published notes from the Saturday sessions.  On Sunday, there was a youth session at 8am followed by the general session at 10am.  President Chris Lewis was released as 1st counselor since they are moving to Utah.  I'm really bummed about that as I expected Chris to be the next Stake President and he would be awesome.  Don Fairbanks is the new 1st counselor with Doug Epperson as the 2nd counselor. They are both great guys!

After conference, we just stayed home and really enjoyed the day together!  We played "station-rotation", which included kick ball, softball, "bam-ball" with a huge tennis ball and some front-yard soccer.  It was really great!  I also got to take a nap with Jarrett - a definite highlight of the day if it weren't for the flies landing on me! We had some yummy sirloins for dinner and I spoiled myself with some brownies for dessert.  We even enjoyed a walk around the block with the dogs and Ashtyn went with the MiaMaid presidency to sing happy birthday to Riley Driskill.

The real measure of yesterday was how I feel this morning - completely re-energized and feeling super good!  So nice!
