Another Crazy Wednesday

I’ve always been amazed at how crazy the first week back into life from vacation can be.  I’ve really had a long week so far, probably working 10-12 hours both days, plus tonight, I had church meetings since it was mutual.  The meetings all went well and we even planned out the new “Temple and Priesthood Preview” meeting that was originally scheduled for 1/21 and we just moved to 2/11. 

My favorite experience of the day was when I came home a little early because I thought I had left my AirPods at home and I needed them for a meeting while lifting weights in the afternoon. I got home right before the bus, so I picked up Jantzen and Aubrey, which was a fun treat for them.  Then as I entered the house, Jarrett woke up and said “I want Daddy!”  He’s very much a Daddy’s boy now and we had a few fun moments together.  I only got to see him for a total of 45 minutes tonight, but I sang songs to him for bed and we had a ton of fun doing that.  He’s such a great little kid!

Today, the biggest accomplishment at work was that I locked down some of the travel plans for getting the team to London for the Elway visit on 1/30 & 1/31.  We should have our travel booked by Friday.  I also confirmed that I plan to try to join some of the face2face technical dives for ZTE’s DFE design in China on 2/1 - 2/5.  I will likely not be there until Friday, but I will work to make it happen anyway.

I shared my new year’s resolutions with Amy today - we have been so busy that we haven’t really been able to talk much since we got home.  We are going to lunch on Thursday, so hopefully that will change and we can get re-calibrated a bit.
