But - I also have a very busy and crazy schedule for the next 4 weeks. I have the next two weeks to get ready for 3 days of on-site meetings with Nokia, a 5-day trip to China to review the DFE ASIC and a 4-day trip to London to meet with Elway. The craziness starts on 1/22 and ends on 2/6. I absolutely plan to take my birthday off on 2/7 and spend a little time decompressing from the crazy schedule!
Work went pretty well yesterday - many meetings right up until 4:30, when I went home and grabbed Jantzen for Basketball assessments. He did pretty well! They had the following assessments: size, dribbling, layups, jumpshots, 2-on-1 and 3-on-2. Jantzen did really well in every area except the jump shots - he only made one. He normally makes all of his shots from the elbows, but he hadn’t warmed up, so I wasn’t too surprised. I was very proud of him.
Immediately after basketball, I took him to Webelos. He was 45 minutes late, but he got to shoot the catapult that they’ve been building, so that was really fun for him. He was able to shoot an orange over 50 feet. He and Tyler are going to play with it again at the Huff’s house as Sean Mackrory let them keep it....
After getting home, we quickly had dinner, then got everyone ready for bed and read scriptures. I had a quick meeting with Singapore to discuss interposed options for Colugo and then we finally went to bed. I did get to chat with Dad and Robin last night. It sounds like Melinda was arrested right after Christmas for breaking and entering and resisting arrest. She was with Andy, who has really been the worst possible human influence for Melinda over the past couple of years. She hasn’t even contacted Dad and Robin or Tyler since Christmas. It’s a very sad situation now and we’re not sure what is going to happen. We are very frustrated with Melinda’s choices right now, but I’m not even sure how much “choice” she really has - I’m certain she’s addicted to Meth and that the drug is ruling her life completely. We are not sure what to do to help her now! We are going to keep her and Tyler as well as Robin and Dad in our prayers!
