Wow - the first week of June is already over! Super crazy! Just like last year, I'm afraid this summer is going to go by so fast that we won't even have a change to enjoy it! I really need a break and a vacation, so I'm going to do everything I can to have fun this summer.
Yesterday, I sent Amy a really long email, letting her know how amazing she is. If I could only find a way to really let her know how incredible she is. I dreamed about her last night (I've been doing that a bunch recently). When I woke up, I realized how much my heart really misses her. I can't wait to get home tonight, to spend time with her and the kids this weekend, and to quit thinking about work for a bit. I've really been working hard pretty much all year and I'm getting tired. It's time to re-focus and spend time with the people that really matter to me!
One thing that I mentioned to Amy was that we need to sit down as a family and plan out the entire summer. I'm really looking forward to doing that! I want to schedule all of the great activities that the family wants to do so that we are certain that we will make them all happen. It will be a blast! I want to take my 3 oldest kids backpacking this year - should be awesome and I'm hoping that we really enjoy it.
Right now, we are on the descent into Denver. One more trip to CA is almost complete. I can't believe how many times I've had to be in CA this year - it's been crazy. I'm going to try my hardest to make sure that I don't have to travel next week - I just want to be home with the family and really enjoy evenings with them.
Adam will be heading home tomorrow morning. I'm not sure how his eventual move to Colorado will work out. I think he's been trying to figure that out himself, but hey - he's been on 3 dates this week, 2 with the same girl. Very exciting and I hope that he continues to enjoy spending time with this young lady. She has two kids, but I don't think Adam cares, which is awesome. I just hope that he can relax and enjoy himself with her.
Well, time to pack up!
