I'm sitting in a center seat on a completely full plane headed back to Denver. It has been a VERY long day, but overall, it was a good day. I got up at 5:30am, left the house by 6am and caught my 8am flight to San Jose. That flight went pretty well, except I was crammed into a really small plane. Here's a re-cap of my meetings:
- Met with Kalyan (Bodega Manager) for an hour. Wanted to get some feedback from him and talk about resources. It was a really good discussion and I'm very happy with the outcome. It's really good to have discussions like that with customers. I need to do that more often.
- Met with Cisco GSM to talk about the transition as well as provide a 16FF+ update. This meeting went really well. I was a little surprised to see such a large contingent show up from Avago. We had Gonzalo, James, Jeff V., Yash, and myself. It was quite the team. I think they were a little concerned about my messaging, but in the end, I think they were as pleased as I was with the results. It was a good meeting and the Cisco folks received the message very positively.
- Held a "coffee talk" with the San Jose team. I used the one hour slot to introduce myself and my team. Then, I talked about the chips that we have been working on. I finally dove a little into the transition plan and preached a little doctrine on how our teams operate. Overall, I think the folks received the message really positively. It was great!
Thinking back to this past weekend, I will say that it has been a really good week. Saturday was fantastic - one of my favorite days with the family that I've had in a long time. We didn't try to do too much and we spent about 3 hours at the park in the afternoon. It was one of the most memorable family bonding days that we've had in a while. Here are some photos from our little trip to the park:
On Sunday, we had a really great day as well. I had some meetings, had to go home teaching, etc. But we still spent time together as a family and we enjoyed eating our pork chops out on the back porch. It was great. We even had little umbrellas on our glasses of water. Here's a few photos of the kids enjoying Sunday dinner:
On Monday, we did have to laugh a little at our precious Aubrey. She decided that she wanted to be an Indian, so she found a green marker and proceed to draw all over her face. It took a little while to get the ink out, but we really had some fun with her on this one!! She will never cease to surprise me.
Baby Jarrett also got to enjoy some much needed tummy time!
