It was such a fun weekend with the family. I really needed to spend time with Amy and the kids. It was awesome! Amy and I really need to sit down and plan out the rest of the summer. I want to schedule a bunch of fun activities so that we can really enjoy this summer together before it slips away and I get too busy.
Work has definitely been hard. I've spent a bunch of time in San Jose, meeting with customers and the new team in from xLSI. I've spent some really long days working and I'm ready for a vacation. We have a great vacation planned for the first week of July, but I'm not sure I can wait that long. I want to schedule some "mini-vacations" for June so that I can make it. I'm looking forward to the father-son campout this weekend with Jantzen - it will be great!
My health is starting to feel a little better, but it has definitely been a rough year so far. I've been on so many treatment plans and I just haven't felt good. I'm starting to feel better, now, but I'm not sure how long it will last. I want to get well enough to be able to start doing my P90X videos so that I can really build up my core strength and feel better.
Dad has actually been doing pretty well. He's been adjusting to losing Mom and I've been very impressed with how he's been handling things. I hope that I never have to go through what he has had to over the last month. I've been very impressed with his posts on Facebook. He has been teaching everyone and it has been incredible. I plan to start a new blog for him, using his daily posts, so that we can document them and add them to a more permanent record. My hope is that I can actually publish a book with his notes and give it to him for Christmas. Father's Day is just around the corner and I really want to do something special for him. I was even thinking of surprising him and showing up at his house for Father's Day. I may still do that!
Well, before I close, here's a fun photo of the new space we will have at work. They have kicked out the Center Partners folks and we will be opening up this space for all of the new employees from xLSI that will be joining our site in FTC. It's really amazing how big this space looks without cubes and furniture.
