Adam & Mary Brown - Beautiful Wedding

Wow! What a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding for Adam and Mary! I'm so very happy for Adam - he's been waiting for this day for a very long time and I know that my sweet Mom had a lot to do with how things turned out today. I'm also very sure that she was in the sealing room - sitting where the Mom is supposed to sit. That's where Amy saw her. I felt her in every rainbow in every crystal of the beautiful chandelier! Oh, how I love my sweet Mother! We all miss her - it's been difficult for each of us to move on. But, its definitely hit Melinda the worst! She stuggled BIG-TIME during the wedding and she couldn't even set aside her feelings for Adam's wedding. She was being completely ridiculous and she alienated everyone at the wedding. Even when people tried to help her, she went ballistic! Luckily, I think we did a pretty good job of shielding Adam and Mary from everything, but we will have to deal with this issue soon....

Anyway, here are some beautiful shots from the day. The wedding was at 11am at the Temple with the Ring Ceremony & Reception at 1pm (turned out to be 1:30pm since everyone was late). The ring ceremony was also very nice, with Mary singing a special song to Adam as they gave each other vows and also had some very kind things to say to Trey and Sierra. It was very well done. Amy enjoyed playing the piano, even though she stressed some of the music a bit. She's a great pianist and she did a great job as always!

After the wedding, we swam in the pool - even Dad put on his swimsuit! We let everyone swim for a few hours, then we let them all watch a movie, put the baby to bed, then Amy and I went to Downtown Disney to get our tickets to Disney (we had left them at home) and get groceries for the week. It turned out that traffic at Disney was really bad on Saturday night, so we took about 3 hours to get everything done - but we had a successful trip. As we were shopping, Melinda called and let us know that she was leaving - she drove through the night and got to Raleigh at 8am in the morning. Turns out that her and Tracie had a huge AND physical fight! Not good! But, with her gone, the rest of the evening and the Sunday morning went much better. As mentioned above, we are going to have to deal with Melinda and find a way to help her.

Finally - here are the photos of the awesome wedding. I will start with the temple and go through to the evening swimming photos.

It really was a great wedding and it went by really fast! We had to do a TON of driving - both the day before the wedding and the day of the wedding. It was about one hour to the reception hall, we also did a fun family get together at Mary's brothers house (Jeff). He was a really nice guy who is an FAE for HP PNB networking products - its a really small world! The kids enjoyed the pool and the games and the overall day was fun.

After the wedding, we enjoyed some family time at the big house that was rented for the wedding guests. It was a really nice home - 6 bedroom, 2 story with a very nice heated pool.

The kids really enjoyed catching the lizards that were everywhere!
