Disney World Vacation - Day 6

All great things eventually come to an end and honestly, we were very sad when our day at Epcot ended. We had such a great time at Disney World - it was just AWESOME! The kids were just the right ages (except Jarrett - he won't remember anything).

Of all the parks, I would probably rank Magic Kingdom #1 - its just a magical place. But Epcot would definitely be #2. It is such a unique place and I'm certain that I had never been there before. Here's our agenda for Epcot, which went very smoothly. We didn't wait for anything, we had a great time and it was super fun!

The very first thing we did was to run over and ride the Test track. We did this before using our Fastpass+ for Spaceship Earth. That turned out to be the right thing to do. The line for the test track was super long and it turned out to be a very fun ride. You get to design your own car and then "test" the performance on the ride. Everyone enjoyed this one!

While we rode the test track, Amy stayed outside and enjoyed the morning with Aubrey and Jarrett.

We all rode Spaceship Earth - very glad that we had our FP+. The lines were very long. You get to create your own planet and see a movie about what it would be like. This is the ride that takes you up into the "golf ball" that is the famous landmark for Epcot. At the end, you can play all sorts of games to teach you about renewable energy sources to help take care of the planet. The kids really had a good time and we could have stayed around to play games all day!

Jarrett loves eating apples!!

Epcot actually has a pretty nice aquarium - something I did not expect. We really enjoyed this part of the day and it was nicely air-conditioned - a huge bonus!

Marilyn and LaMar had to leave about this time to catch their flight home. I'm pretty sure they wished they could spend the rest of the day with us. Once they left, Amy and I instantly realized why it had been such a great idea to have them join us. Having all 5 kids with just us is a real challenge - but it was only for the rest of the day, so we managed just fine...

Some beautiful shots of the park. Epcot is AMAZING!

We had lunch at an AWESOME pastry shop in the "France" section. This was a fun little street performance outside - this guy was amazing - being able to balance so high on the chairs that were just stacked end-on-end was amazing!

We actually skipped England and Canada to make it to lunch, but we have both been there before.

Next stop - Morocco - this was a very fun place.

We spent some time in one of our favorite sections - Japan! They had an awesome drum demonstration going on most of the day! Very talented!

Italy was very fun - and we enjoyed the photo with Lady and the Tramp!

This awesome train was setup in Germany, I think. We all stared at this display for a while - very impressive!

Snow White and the 7 dwarfs were also there near Germany! The line was a little too long to get a family photo!

One of the best things about this trip was how well the kids treated each other. They genuinely had a great time together. Ashtyn was playing with Jarrett more, Ashtyn and Alyssa got along really well and in general, Jantzen and Aubrey played well with each other and with the rest of the family. It made the trip so much more fun to have everyone "loving" each other!

More photos from Germany - we liked this place and we hung around for a bit:

I would have loved to buy one of these clocks - too much money and I'm certain it would have broken on the way home. But they were awesome!

And of course - the brats were fantastic!

The chinese acrobats were very entertaining to watch, but we almost lost some kids here - too many people!

We really enjoyed Norway as well - this was a fun shot by the waterfall just outside some of the fun shopping.

In Mexico, we enjoyed some very overpriced tacos (similar to the way overpriced crepes in France). However, they had a fun little water ride inside the restaurant. It was kind of like a Mexico version of "it's a small world". It was fun and very relaxing!

We ended up going home a little early after shopping for a few hours. We arrived home at about 7pm and spend the rest of the evening swimming and packing.

On Sunday, we let the GPS take us to a different church than the previous week, but incredibly, there was not anyone there. We can only assume that they had Stake Conference, but we hadn't heard an announcement about that when we went to church the previous week. So, we decided to drive to the other church, hoping that it was in a different stake. We arrived in time to hear the last 2 talks, but we missed the Sacrament. It was the best we could do...

We made our flight on-time and we had wisely planned to bring our own sandwiches on board. It turned out to be a very nice travel day home!

We loved our Disney Vacation and honestly - I would do it again in a heartbeat!!
