After months of anticipate, Avago has officially acquired Broadcom and we have been named "Broadcom Limited". So far, there hasn't been too much downside as the stock has shot up to $150 and our day-to-day work hasn't really changed much. It will be interested over time, as we become more dependent on central engineering - I'm hoping they are easy to work with and it doesn't slow us down. We'll see..
I was actually kind of sad to change badges - I've enjoyed my 10+ years at Avago. We took a company with a new name from the dust to a power-house and it was something that I was proud to be a part of. I'm hoping that the Broadcom experience is good as well. Time will tell....
