Happy New Year 2017

Happy New Year 2017 from Roy Utah! We arrived for our annual pilgrimage to Amy's parent's house on Wednesday afternoon and we've really enjoyed relaxing here and enjoying life with the Utah Holt's and Shepherd's.

We built a snow fort the first day - the kids really enjoyed the process, but not so much the work involved. The snow was very powdery - but we managed to make it work using small trash cans - so it was fun.

Marilyn bought some fun costumes at Costco that Aubrey and Penny enjoyed wearing together. Penny was super excited to be "matching" someone - she doesn't get that opportunity too much for sure!

We played our annual white elephant game this year. It was the first time for Jarrett and he really enjoyed the game. Marilyn made it fun this year by handing out all of the presents before hand, then reading a story where we had to pass the presents either "right" or "left" whenever the word "right" or "left" was used in the story. The kids got a kick out of that - it was interesting to watch Jarrett pick up on the game so quickly and enjoy the process!

Jarrett ended up with a race-car game and I scored a reindeer popper! Alisha scored the fun "elf costume" that we brought and Penny just add to try it on!

Over the weekend, we took the kids to go see the movie "SING" - which was a real hit - we really enjoyed that movie and it has some great messages. After, we let the kids play at the kids place at the mall and then all of the kids joined Jarrett and Penny on the fun ride:
