Last Saturday of Christmas Break

Although I was hoping for a relaxing last day of Christmas break, it ended up being very busy, but also very productive.

Amy and I started the day super early by attending the 7am session at the temple. There weren't many patrons during our session, but the spirit was strong and we met a cute little family from Ukraine. We exchanged numbers and will likely go out to dinner with them sometime.

After the temple, I ran some errands at Target, Walgreen's and Lowe's. I also had my annual asthma doctor's appointment and that went really well as he gave me an inhaler to battle my current cold.

Once I got home, Amy had a slew of projects to do. We spent most of the afternoon and into the evening organizing and re-decorating Alyssa and Ashtyn's room. I changed about 20 light bulbs in the house, hung 2 ceiling fans and a new light in the piano room. We also hung about 20 picture frames and moved some shelves around. Here are a few photos of the process:

Towards the end of the day, we let Ashtyn and Alyssa have some friends over for the evening. They ate snacks and played fun games. We had Paris, Camryn, Madison and Heidi over. Here are some fun photos of the group:

At the end of the day, we cuddled on the couch and watched a new Christmas movie - "Miracle Maker" while the big girls watched the "RM" downstairs. It was a full, busy, but GREAT Saturday!
