November 2017 Gratitude - Day 17

Day 17 - My Eagle Scout Rank!  One of our Priests, Cole Jacobs, turned 18 in mid October and was able to finish his Eagle just in time.  He did a great job with his Eagle Scout project as he collected sporting gear and sent it to some non-profits in Washington, DC - giving underprivileged children the opportunity to play sports.  It was a great project and it reminded me of my Eagle Scout project and of the many things I learned as a Boy Scout.  I'm very disappointed at the continued degradation of the BSA and the fact that the Church continues to slowly pull away from Scouting - but I will forever be grateful for my experiences as a Scout and I'm looking forward to going on camp outs with my son when he turns 12!
