Back to the Grind

The whirlwind trip to NC is over and we've stepped back into reality. We got home around noon on Monday and I think everyone was happy to be home. It was actually quite cold and rainy too, but it warmed up during the day. I had to run into work and handle a couple of customer meetings before picking up the dogs from the kennel and heading home.

On Monday night, we had a REALLY great FHE as a family. We had a brief discussion on testimonies, then we went around the room and asked everyone to share their testimonies with the group. Wow - what a great experience. Ashtyn asked some really good questions and Alyssa finally started to feel the spirit and realize that she has a testimony as well. Seriously - I could not have felt happier or more proud! It was AWESOME! We finished early enough that we cuddled in the basement and watched "Earth to ECHO". It was a pretty cute movie, but not the best I've ever seen.

Tuesday was an incredibly busy day. I didn't have many scheduled meetings, but I spend a bunch of time trying to get work done and get caught up from the weekend. It was tough - tons to do. We are also trying to get my China and India visas and that is taking some work. I will keep trying on that one.

I spent about 1.5 hours with Gordon Motley on the xLSI memories and what we can do to improve things. It's pretty tough, that's for sure! I think we were open and honest with each other and I hope we can start to make some positive changes. I like Gordon a TON - he's a stud - but how do we enact change with Gordon Priebe? He doesn't seem to want to change his organization at all!

Tonight, for mutual, we had an incredible evening as well. Richard brought ribs from Nordy's and we sat around the fire and enjoyed them. They were AWESOME! Then we had a great object lesson from Kyle Bateman - he set up a huge obstacle course and asked the Priests to blind fold one of them and guide them to the chair in the middle. It was fun and the boys got a ton out of it. We finished with a great testimony meeting - every boy shared their feelings and it was pretty awesome. Trent impressed me the most - he really shared a heart-felt testimony and I think it was HIS testimony that really brought the spirit to the meeting and opened up everyone's hearts! Sometimes, I feel like we are actually doing things right for these boys!

Here's a photo of the fun obstacle course that Kyle put together:
