We bought the tickets for the girls for Christmas last year, so we've been waiting for a REALLY long time for the day to arrive and it finally did! August 20, 2015 was just an AWESOME day! Work went by quickly and then we were off to Red Rocks in Denver. It was our first trip and it was amazing! I'm just going to put all of the photos below after writing up how cool it was!
We were a little late getting started, so we were nervous about getting there on time. But it all worked out great. Our seats were on the 6th row, right in the middle and we had a perfect view of the concert. I will say that it was the first concert that I've ever been to where I watched the artists directly instead of looking at the screens, which made it super cool. They played all of their great songs and they actually recorded the concert and they plan to sell the video. They also plan to use the photos for the cover of their next album, which is really cool. We may actually be on that cover! We gave them a standing ovation after EVERY performance - they were just great! Best concert I've ever seen. And we all went crazy when Alex Boye showed up to perform Peponi! It was fantastic!
There was also a meet and great at the end. It took a little longer and we didn't get home until after 1am, but it was so worth it!! Here's the photos from the meet and greet:
I took a ton of photos of the concert, but during and after. Red Rocks is an incredible venue and I can't wait to watch another concert there! Incredible!
So glad we could bring Jeff and Crystal Slade with us. Worth every penny to see the smiles on their faces! He loved being there will all of his Cello students as well. Connor wasn't in this photo, but they took another photo later.
This was such a cool part of the concert! They played "1000 years" and everyone held up their cellphones and waved them in the air. It was an incredible image! The feeling was very cool - even the piano guys were shocked!
