It's Tuesday evening and I'm on my way to California again for another RFQ review, this time with Enso (the code name for Google). It will be another 5 hour meeting, this time in Mountain View. It should be pretty fun, since the Google guys are pretty cool. I was pretty pleased with my last visit to see them a few months ago. We'll see how it goes.
I will say that I'm pretty sick of traveling right now. I feel like I'm having a hard time staying on top of the issues at work and I feel behind. I'm also missing my family a ton! I love them so dearly and I'm just so sick of being away from them. Tonight, Ashtyn will be participating in New Beginnings at church since she will join Young Women's (at the end of the year). It was supposed to be a fun night where we sat together through the program and really enjoyed the time together. I'm super bummed about it!!
Last night, we had Jessica and Josh Hatch over for dinner and FHE. It was actually a ton of fun. We had spaghetti, and the kids really loved having them over. It was fun to watch the kids interact with Josh and Jessica. They really did have a great time. Amy did a GREAT FHE lesson where we watch the Youth video "Come Unto Christ", the we talked about things we can be doing to come unto Christ each and every day. It was super cool and the kids had a great time!
Work has gone pretty well this week. We are definitely deep into some issues on schedule with the Lion chips at Cisco. We had a pretty heated meeting with them today and it was interesting to listen to the discussion as we made our case. I remained quiet during the teleconference as I listened to Greg and Frank chat with them. I wanted to make some comments several times, but there was too much background noise as I was driving to the airport and getting through security.
I need to finish writing for tonight as I have too pull out my laptop and edit the slides for tomorrow's meeting.
