Obamacare is hurting everyone!

Wow! We finally received information today on our healthcare costs for this next year. Wow!! We have always done the co-payment plan for healthcare and we just can't afford it anymore. It will just kill us! The price of healthcare premiums through work have basically doubled this year and I'm not mad at the company at all - the issue is with the new "Affordable Healthcare Act". Affordable for who? Wow!

Anyway, it has definitely been nice to be at home this week and to not be traveling. I've been able to get actual work done and it has been fun to get back into some details a bit! Although a little painful to do so many of them, my 1-1's with folks are really beneficial. I have a 1-1 with Greg that I need to plan for tomorrow as well.

Yesterday, for mutual, I had to improvise a TON. The boys had planned a "sports night", but the gym was being used for our blue & gold - we only had access to half the gym. So, since only 3 boys showed up anyway, I decided to try and let the boys hit some golf balls for fun. Ethan, Jack and Kyle each hit three golf balls and it was really pretty fun. The only issue is that it was REALLY cold out. Jantzen came with me last night, so that was fun as well. He got to play with some boys his age and I'm glad the he had a good time.

After mutual, we had our presidency meeting, which went really well. We talked about a ton of things and the meeting went until 10pm. It could have ended earlier, but we were distracted for 30 minutes because one of the toilets had overflowed. Here's some fun photos of our clean-up efforts. We probably extracted 5 gallons of water using just mops and a snow shovel. Crazy!

Well, I'm getting pretty tired and it's time to go to bed. I'm going to need to spend some time this weekend working on finances and figuring out what to do for healthcare. I also need to budget out some upcoming investment options (Amy's IRA and a potential plan to open up our LIRA account with Edward Jones). Anyway, we'll see how that goes! I met with Greg Backhaus today and my retirement savings plans look pretty good, so I'm happy about that for sure! I hope that I can stick with it!

I should note that I met with Dr. Walton today and he is recommending that we extract tooth #8 (which is one of my front teeth). He will then do a few bone grafts over the course of the next 18 months and hopefully I will be able to get an implant and close the door on this stupid issue. I am so very sick of dealing with this problem. I just want it to go away!!!
