Wow - what a very long day! It's not very often that I get so behind that I have to work 24 straight hours to get caught up, but that was the case today! Here's the basic timeline of events:
- Arrived at work at 2am - working on 2 major things in parallel. Slides & Material for an important management meeting with ZTE and prepping for Francis Matus' visit to Fort Collins. There was also massive amounts of email to catch up on - it was a VERY long morning, but also productive since I was not interrupted.
- At 9am, I headed back to Severance to go to Jantzen & Alyssa's class. I had purchased some Chinese New-Year gifts for their class during my visit to China, so I took about 15 minutes from their classes to talk about China and hand out the gifts - it was really fun!
- Noon - Lion AR celebration at Biaggi's restaurant in Loveland. Francis and James showed up shortly after I did. We spent about 2 hours and it was a really great lunch.
- 2pm - 5pm - Meetings with Francis. We talked about many things and even included him in some go-forward memory discussions. It was a very productive discussion and it was great to be re-aligned with Francis on so many topics
- 5pm - Horrible meeting with ZTE. We are definitely mis-aligned and there are some major disconnects and concerns. It will take some serious work to get this ship on the right path again!
- 7pm - Dinner with Lion team and Francis - this went until nearly 11pm. We ate at the Canyon Chophouse. It was really good food and it was a good experience, but wow - it took a long time. Again - very good discussions and Frank even joined us for dinner.
- 11pm - 2am - I went back to work, caught up on many things from the day and prepped for the next day - trying to get on top of so many issues that were on fire!
I was very exhausted in the end - very glad to go home and get some sleep!!
