Since the family was in Utah over spring break, we missed the first games of the season. So, today was the first games for our kids. Turns out that it was the first soccer games for all 3 kids given that Alyssa, Jantzen and Aubrey had never played soccer before. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised to see how well each of the kids played. Alyssa very much surprised me - she's pretty aggressive and did a great job playing defense. She was scored on when she played keeper, but the other team was actually off-sides...
Amy and Ashtyn were at the church doing first-aid for Girl's Camp. Amy actually taught a class on Heat & Cold exposure. So - I had the other four kids at the park with me. Jantzen's game was first, then Aubrey and Alyssa played at the same time. Luckily, the Murray's were there to help me a bit with Jarrett so I could watch both games!
Final score - Jantzen's team lost, but they played pretty well. Jantzen actually surprised me a TON! I love that kid! He needs to practice clearing the ball from the goalie position, though.
Alyssa's team tied and they are actually pretty good. Alyssa is going to enjoy this season.
Aubrey's team was destroyed, but it was really cute to watch her play! She's so fun!
There was a spider on Alyssa's leg during Jantzen's game. I had to laugh and take a photo while she screamed! She wasn't happy with me...
