Although I've been flying across the ocean a TON, it's April and this week's trip is only my second trip to San Jose. I will say that I'm VERY glad to be traveling less to San Jose - it's much better to be at home with the family. It will be pretty rough for the next few weeks, though! A trip to London next week, California again the following week and then my 3rd trip to China this year during the first week of May - tons of travel!!
Anyway, my trip to CA went very well - one of the best that I've had in a while. Venkat and I went to lunch at the Banana Leaf - I really love that place, but I ALWAYS eat way too much! We spent about 2 hours together, planning the methodology meeting that will be in May with Cisco (again - another trip to CA in May).
For Dinner, I met with Guntram at a great Austrian restaurant - "the land of his people". We spent over 3 hours together and it was VERY fun. We talked about work, we talked about life and in general, I just really enjoyed spending time with him and discussing ways for Avago and Cisco to be tighter and more in sync in the future. The best part though - was the food! Wow! I've never had really good German food before and I will admit - it was VERY tasty! Here's some photos from dinner:
