Little victories mid-week

This has been a VERY busy week, made even more stressful by Amy's position as the head-volunteer for this year's laps-for-learning fundraiser at the elementary school. It's been nuts. However, ever person in the family had extra little events today, which made life even more hectic. Here's all of the craziness that happened, starting with the youngest and moving up:

  • Jarrett - actually, he didn't do much more than he normally does, but he did nap better today, which was important for Amy as she was so busy today.
  • Aubrey - she had pre-school and music class today. For pre-school, she was in charge of the treat/snack since it was her birthday yesterday. She loved it! She made "witch hands", which were latex-free gloves filles with popcorn and candy-corn for the finger tips. The kids loved them!
  • Jantzen - he had music class today, plus I came home early to help with some of the transportation issues and I was able to play a little ball with him. He has been poop and urine free at school for 2 days in a row. Yep - Jantzen has had issues with potty accidents at school. We really need to get him to quit being so lazy!
  • Alyssa - big day for her - she was able to skip school and get her braces removed! She is so happy about it. She also had choir practice for school this morning! Nuts!
  • Ashtyn - she finished a big assignment last night and this evening, we celebrated her successful swim season with a team banquet. I was very much NOT impressed with the banquet. They only had about 1/3 the pizza they needed and there really wasn't even a presentation. But, she still set personal records and improved a TON all year. Her certificate and a photo of her at the banquet are below.
  • Amy - very busy! Today, her and other volunteers helped to fold the shirts for the laps-for-learning fundraiser. She also shuttled kids around and it was just crazy. She's still in the kitchen working on tasks for the fundraiser.
  • Me - I had to leave at 7:15am for an appointment with the Gastro-expert. I'm going to need a colonoscopy to figure out what's wrong with me. Should be interesting... Work was also pretty busy, with several staff meetings and multiple customer meetings. Needless to say, I'm pretty behind on some things. Hoping to catch up tomorrow...
