Labor Day Miracle

Last Tuesday (8/26), was definitely a crazy day. But amid the chaos, Amy actually cut her left thumb really bad. She cut it bad enough to need stitches, but she was so busy, she couldn't get the hospital (pretty bad, huh)! Well, it kept hurting all week, even through the bandages. Finally, yesterday evening, she took off the bandage because it had gotten wet. Here was the wound 5 days post-trama:

As you can see, it looked pretty bad. The wound hadn't closed well and the skin around the wound appeared to be dying. Amy was VERY stressed about this, questioning herself and worried about infection or other possible bad things. So, after getting the kids to bed, she asked LaMar and I to give her a blessing. It turned out to be a very incredible experience. I felt the spirit and I felt prompted to bless her to heal quickly and fully. In fact, I was even prompted to bless her to know that the healing was a miracle from The Lord through the power of the priesthood. It was to be a physical symbol of the power of the Atonement.

Well, this morning when Amy woke up at 2am with the baby, the miracle had already happened (which is definitely incredible and amazing). Here's the thumb at 2am (just 3 hours after the blessing):

No doubt in my mind or Amy's mind that this miracle was from The Lord. We shared this with the kids as we read scriptures before bed tonight. INCREDIBLE!! VERY HUMBLING to know that I was truly an instrument in the hands of The Lord!!
