8th Grade Graduation

It seems just like yesterday that Ashtyn started middle school and now, three years later, she's all done and headed to high school next year.  Crazy how fast time can fly - very crazy!  But, I'm very proud of Ashtyn and of her accomplishments at school.  She's done a very good job and was even nominated to be a "top hawk" (their school mascot).  There were only around 8 girls nominated to be top hawk, so it was definitely an honor to be in that short list!

Ashtyn looked beaufiful in the suit that she wore and she was very proud of her accomplishments.  Amy and I were a little skeptical about an 8th grade graduation, but it was done really well and it was fun to be a part of the commencement exercises and to see the joy on the faces of the youth.  I will say that I was fairly appalled at the immodest dress amongst Ashtyn's peers, but she presented herself very respectfully and we even heard some compliments from people behind us!
