Paris 2017 - Day 5 - Super Tourist Day

With today as our last day in Paris, we decided to go crazy and try to do as many things as we could.  We pretty much did everything we wanted to and although we walked 12 miles, we really enjoyed the day.  Here's what we did:

1.) First - we started the day off right with Breakfast at Angelina's - what a joy and a treat.  We've loved their pastries and hot chocolate, but their breakfast is also amazing.  Next time - we will be sure to do breakfast at Angelina's (maybe everyday!)

2.) After Angelina's, we went straight to Trocedaro and the Eiffel Tower.  Alyssa was not too excited to go all the way to the top, but she enjoyed it once we were there and we enjoyed walking down the stairs from the 2nd level on the way down.  Great experience on a virtually perfect weather day in Paris.

3.) Although we visited the inside of Notre Dame on Saturday evening, we wanted to climb to the top and see the gargoyles and let the children experience the majesty of this nearly 1000 year old cathedral and one of the most famous in the world.  We were expecting a line, but the wait ended up being 1.5 hours long - WOW!!  Here are some photos of our trip to Notre Dame:

4.) After Notre Dame, we took the RER B line up to Montmartre and Sacre Coeur - what an amazing treat!  We bought some artwork, enjoyed an awesome lunch at a side cafe and genuinely enjoyed spending time in one of the coolest places in Paris:

5.) On our way back to Paris, we walked through some of the shopping places and stumbled into an awesome little chocolate shop that had incredible "creations" made from pure chocolate.  We had to take some photos and then buy some chocolate to help fund this awesome little place:

In all of the metros, they had some fun "sloth" advertisements.  I had to pose by one of them.  We were so exhausted all week long - we all felt like the sloth!

6.) We finally stopped at Camac's Harp shop.  This was a cool little shop and we got there right before the closed.  They let Alyssa pick a harp to play - little did we know that she played a harp that costs 37000 Euros!!

7.) The home of Victor Hugo --> unfortunately, we got there late and we missed the opportunity to go inside.  But we enjoyed taking a few photos and then relaxing in the sun at the park right by the Victor Hugo home.

8.) We walked over to take a few photos of "Place de la Bastille" - unfortunately, it was under construction, but we grabbed a few shots:

9.) Finally - we walked 2 miles home, stopping at a fromagerie, and a patisserie to grab dinner, which we enjoyed on our last evening in the Paris apartment in the 2eme arrondissement.

Finally - I took a few shots of Alyssa and I in business class on the flight home.  We were able to be upgraded both directions, which really made the trip fun!
