Surgery is Over - The Healing has Begun...

My fourth surgery at Dr. Walton's office is complete. I am still numb, but the pain killers are working now and I'm feeling better. I was really starting to hurt for a while, but I'm feeling better now. I am REALLY praying that things work out better now for this time around and that I heal correctly. Dr. Walton did a more aggressive bone graft today than he was planning, but I'm glad that he did. If this one heals up correctly, then I'll be on my way to hopefully a much better place. I really do like Dr. Walton and I know that he has been feeling really bad about things. He did a great job today, I could tell. He really wants this to work out and that makes me feel a ton better.

There really wasn't much else that happened today. I did get to play basketball at lunch since I won't be able to exercise for a week. That was really nice. I need to lose about 20lbs though. I am too slow and I can't jump at all. I played some pretty good basketball, even against a guy that has me by a couple of inches. It was pretty fun and I'm glad I played. I also enjoyed "my last meal" at Panera. For the next couple of weeks, I will be on "soft" food. Maybe I'll lose some weight after all....

I will miss mutual tonight, but I'm okay with that. As can be seen by most posts over the past week, I have been very busy with Young Men's and I'm ready for a break!
